Following work on a tourism plan for the Durham Cathedral and Castle World Heritage Site, we have been appointed by Durham Cathedral to give further advice on plans to display the Lindisfarne Gospels book at the Cathedral in 2013.

New Resources Section
Bowles Green is pleased to unveil a brand new “Resources” section of the website. Downloadable content will be added to this section over time aimed at providing useful and practical information to our clients, covering a range of topics associated with our previous work. Currently available is a guide to new social media and a Green Business guide to reducing pollution and waste within the Tourist Industry.
Coming soon is a Sense of Place Toolkit which will feature advice for community led regeneration projects.

TOWNELEY PARK CELEBRATION WEEKEND
Representatives from Bowles Green recently attended the Towneley Park Celebration Weekend, which took place between the 11th – 13th June at the historic setting of Towneley Hall, near Burnley. The event was organised to celebrate the completion of the Towneley Restoration Scheme, a £3.2 million project aimed at restoring Towneley’s unique parkland landscape. Having worked on the scheme in 2005, Bowles Green’s ‘Access and Audience Development Plan’ aimed to improve the physical and intellectual access to the park and subsequently enabled the Restoration Scheme to obtain £2million of their overall funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).

BOWLES GREEN INCLUDED ON SELECT LIST OF SPECIALIST ADVISORS WITH CUMBRIA TOURISM
Bowles Green is pleased to announce that it has been included on a select list of specialist advisors, working in conjunction with Cumbria Tourism and the Rural Northwest Tourism Connect; a £2.4m programme which will provide grants to serviced tourism accommodation businesses in rural areas of Cumbria.
